At a young age, Daniel knew that he wanted to have a career related to food, more specifically, baking and pastry. Growing up, he was constantly playing with his food and was intrigued with how it was made.
He took his sweet tooth and desire to learn to The Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in baking and pastry management. During his time there, he studied under the renowned Betty Van Norstrand in sugar flower art and at that moment, he knew that this is what he was meant to do. Shortly after that, he completed an internship with Ron Ben-Israel Cakes in New York City. That was his first taste of the world of high end wedding cakes, and knew that he wanted to keep learning and growing.
Upon graduating, he worked for some of the top cake designers including Nine Cakes and Madison Lee's Cakes. Hyper realistic flowers, incorporating different mediums of sugar to create beautiful and edible works of art, and always creating something truly unique and special are some of the various skills he cultivated. Building a relationship with the couple and seeing their reaction has always been the most rewarding part of the job and that gives him the push to create wedding cakes and celebration cakes for others.
Daniel loves the joy that cake brings to others and feels so honored that he gets to help celebrate someone's special day with something beautiful and delicious!
Daniel has been seen competing on Food Network's "Cake Wars," creating sugar flowers on TheFeedFeed instagram, has entered in various cake shows, and even won a blue ribbon at the International Hotel Motel Restaurant Food Show at the Javits Center in 2013 as a student.
